Karen Ann Victoria O’Brien was born and raised in Boston, MA
She moved to San Francisco, CA in the mid-eighties and returned to Boston in 2007. After a long hiatus from painting, she resurrected her painting skills and now enjoys creating using sculpture, painting, photography and 3-dimensional craft.
Why do I have a weird name? Karen Ann Victoria O'Brien. I use all my names because Karen O'Brien seems to be an extremely popular name. There are even a few Karen O'Briens that are artists! When I discovered this, I decided to sign my work with my initials and added "studio" to my stamp and website.
